Genealogy is a great for many reasons. Here are some possibilities:
1. Stress reliever
2. Connection with current relatives
3. Learn about history and how it has effected your family
4. Find out you're indeed related to the king of some country
5. Provides a knowledge about part of who you are and who you have to thank because of it (for better or worse Ü )
Many people don't know how easy genealogy can be. And I have learned it can be difficult to explain how easy it can be (sorry to those of you who have suffered through the experience of me trying to explain). Knowing that I need practice explaining and there are people out there who want to learn, I thought this would be a great opportunity to put the two together. I hope to provide some basic practices and helpful hints that I've picked up since beginning to work on my own genealogy and that of others.
